Assessment 6: Character Animation

Aim:
To use the character setup developed in Assessment 3 to perform an animated sequence that both tests the character setup kinematics and deformation for your project.
Assessment Brief:
Using the skills developed in class students are to analyse and plan a simple sequence of movements that both test the function of the character rig as well as explore the character’s personality. The movement is to be developed in several passes;
- The establishing golden poses / Silhouettes
- Contact points
- Extreme points
- Establishing Motion Curves
- Dynamics
Submission: The scene file containing the animated character
Assessment Weighting:
15% of the total marks for this subject.
